H & H had fun flying kites at the beach with the Cub Scouts.

H is usually wet if he is near water and this time at the beach was exception. The fact that he is not wearing his bathing suit shows that getting in the water was not our original intention in heading to the sand, but keeping him from it is like keeping the sun from coming up.
We went to the zoo with our cousins last week. This is for all those who wondered what E would look like as a spider and H as a bug.

When Graddad and Sissy visited we spent a great day at Universal Studios. Here the kids were hanging with the crew of Apollo 13.
H was the star of the special effects show.

Meeting Shrek and Fiona was a highlight.

All around it was a fun day. Here we watched some animal stars show off their talents (I'm not talking about our kids!)

The kids loved blessing their mommy on Mother's Day. She got an omelette for breakfast and then we went to lunch after church with Ammie and Bapa. Later Ammie and Bapa and the cousins came over for a pizza dinner with Lisa Kelly and family who had driven in from AZ to spend a couple of days in So Cal.

We ended the school year with our traditional Open House with the Cs. Grandparents, cousins, and friends came over to see the presentations and the kids' work. Laurie did a fantastic job teaching our gifted kids this year. E finished 4th grade.

We were on stage at church 5 weeks in a row. One week we were commissioned. The next week K was dedicated (picture above).
The next week E sang (no picture) and then the next week K sang with the Cherubs choir.

Then the next week H and H sang as part of the "Sermon on the Mound" musical. The kids were quite the performers. They worked hard and did well. We were very proud of them.
